Report a meme or ask us to take it down
If a Goober meme shows you and you didn't agree to it, or it crosses a line, tell us and we'll take it down.
Intimate images (TAKE IT DOWN Act). If a Goober link shows a nude, sexual or otherwise intimate image of you, real or AI-generated, that you didn't consent to, we'll remove it and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies within 48 hours of receiving a valid request.
How to make a request
Email support@trygoober.com with the subject "Takedown request" and include:
- the link to the meme (it looks like trygoober.com/m/…), or enough detail for us to find it;
- a short statement that you believe in good faith the image of you was shared without your consent (for intimate images, that it is an intimate image of you published without your consent);
- your name, typed as your electronic signature (or the name of the person you're authorized to act for, and your relationship to them);
- how to reach you (email or phone).
Goober users can also report a meme or a person from inside the app.
What happens next
- We disable the share link right away while we review, and remove the meme and identical copies we can find.
- For intimate images, we complete removal within 48 hours of a valid request.
- We let you know what we did, and we may suspend or ban the account that made it.
- Content showing the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor is removed and reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline. You can report it there directly too.
Other requests
- Copyright: see the copyright section of our Terms.
- Your own data: see "Your choices and rights" in our Privacy Policy.
- Emergencies: if someone is in danger, call 911 first.
If a platform doesn't act on a valid intimate-image request, you can tell the FTC at takeitdown.ftc.gov.
